Updating the Firmware

If you are subscribed to Software Updates, firmware updates are performed automatically. These updates include new product features and protection against new security threats. Check with your reseller for the availability of Software Updates and other services. For information on subscribing to services, see Connecting to a Service Center.

If you are not subscribed to the Software Updates service, you must update your firmware manually.

To update your ZoneAlarm firmware manually

1. Click Setup in the main menu, and click the Firmware tab.

   The Firmware page appears.

2. Click Firmware Update.

   The Firmware Update page appears.

3. Click Browse.

   A browse window appears.

4. Select the image file and click Open.

   The Firmware Update page reappears. The path to the firmware update image file appears in the Browse text box.

5. Click Upload.

   Your ZoneAlarm router firmware is updated.

   Updating may take a few minutes. Do not power off the router.

   At the end of the process the ZoneAlarm router restarts automatically.
